Pack 249 is a co-ed pack welcoming males and females in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We are located in the Steele Creek / Rivergate area. Hiking, camping, fishing, friendship & fun! Join us today! We meet each Tuesday from 6:30 – 7:30 at Winget Park Elementary during the school year.

Where we meet

Cub-o-rees

Twice a year we attend Cub Scout camps hosted by the regional Council at Belk Scout Camp. These camps go from Friday night till Sunday Afternoon and include activities like rock climbing, fishing, archery, and shooting sports.

Pinewood Derby

Each year, with the help of adults, Scouts build their own unpowered, unmanned miniature cars from wood, usually from kits containing a block of pine wood, plastic wheels, and metal axles.

Raingutter Regatta

The raingutter regatta is a racing event that is the sailboat equivalent of the pinewood derby. The sailboat kit consists of a seven-inch long balsa wood hull, a 6-1/2 inch mast, plastic sail, plastic rudder, and metal keel.

Summer Camp

Pack 249 attends a 4 day camp for the Webelos and AOL each summer, as well as a week-long day camp for the rest of the scouts.
